Spicy Tomatillo Chile de Arbol Salsa
1 Lb Tomatillos (remove husk)
8-10 Arbol Chiles (depending on how spicy you like it)
1 Tbsp Avocado Oil or Vegtable Oil
1/4 Small White Onion (cut into a couple of slices)
4 Garlic Cloves (peeled)
1/4 Filtered Water
Sea Salt (to taste)
Add 1 tablespoon of oil to a cast iron skillet over medium heat. Cook the tomatillos garlic and onion in the skillet turning until all sides are chard.(About 10 minutes)
After they are chard add the arbol chiles and toast until fragrant.
Add all ingredients to the blender with 1/4 cup of water and a couple of pinches of salt and blend until smooth. Taste and adjust seasoning, refrigerate until ready to serve and enjoy!
