Chocolate Dipped Bananas
Servings: Makes 6
Preparation Time: 2 ½ Hours
3 Large Bananas
1 ½ Tbsp. Unsalted Butter (or Coconut Oil for vegan)
1 ½ Cup. Semi Sweet Vegan Chocolate
½ Cup of Halloween Decorations
1. Line a baking sheet with waxed or parchment paper. Peel and cut bananas in half, insert a popsicle stick in one end of each banana piece, freeze for at least 1 hour.
2. Add the chocolate and butter (or coconut oil) to top of a double boiler. If you don't have a double boiler, you can easily place a non-plastic bowl set over a pot of steaming water. Stir chocolate until melted.
3. Pour the melted chocolate into a tall glass, this will make it easy to dip. Dip each frozen banana into the chocolate, coating the whole banana. Immediately top or roll in your decorations. Place back on a lined tray. Serve immediately, or freeze for up to a week storing in a freezer bag or covered with plastic wrap. Enjoy!
Chocolate should be thin, to thin out the chocolate add 1 tablespoon of hot water at a time. Whisking in between until chocolate reaches desired consistency.
